Beauty's Story
When I first came to Wiggins, I was super excited. The town was beautiful, and everyone seemed very kind and friendly. But what I was most excited about was getting a pony and coming to Crandals. The day after I moved to Wiggins, I got to go and meet some ponies. As I was riding the bus and looking out the window, I saw an abandoned farm, and in the field stood a bay mare, who looked terrified and very sad and hungry. I told the bus driver to let me get off. I ran towards the field and grabbed a halter off the fence. I opened the old rusty gate slowly. "Easy girl, its okay, I'm not going to hurt you." I told the mare. I approached her slowly, then pet her gently. I talked to her in a soothing voice, telling her that she was going to be okay. After calming her for a while, I carefully put the halter on her and lead her out of the field. I called Ms. Crandal and told her where I was. About 20 minutes later, she arrived with the trailer. I loaded the scared mare into it, and even though it was dangerous, I rode in the trailer with her. I talked to her and petted her. Finally, we arrived at Crandals. I unloaded the mare slowly, then without a second thought lead her into the stall that would be for my horse. "Welcome home girl." I whispered. Then I turned to Ms. Crandal. "I have found my horse. This mare needs me, and I know that we will be a great team." I said. "Okay, but what are you going to name her?" asked Ms. Crandal. "I will name her Beauty." I replied. Everyday, I went to the barn and cared for Beauty. I fed her and groomed her, and most importantly I loved her. After weeks of caring for Beauty and earning her trust, Ms. Crandal said I could ride her. I groomed her and carefully saddled up. I put her bridle on and lead her to the arena. I put my foot in the stirrup and mounted gently. We walked and trotted that day, and soon we were cantering and galloping and jumping. Beauty and I are a great team, and I am very glad I found her. | Rabbitdoggy2 & Caramel | 2020-07-02 01:10:22 | | here is my short story! I hope you like it!!

On the farm you see
I wake with glee
Some people know
My horse is as white as snow
I get out of bed
The cows want to get fed
So I get my pail
The milk goes on sale
I hitch a ride
To go outside
"'cause the cows need to be fed."
I said
With all my heart
I will do my part
'Cause on the family
Farm you see
Everybody works so hard :)
| Mtran & Snowflake | 2020-07-03 12:36:22 | | When I was born the world was different from my mother's belly. I think people call me as Lola. I have a happy day when I was young but when I was 1 year old filly I was split up with my mother and go to someplace called action. I was scared without my mother. But I became brave. When it was my turn I saw someone saying lots of numbers. And he put down his hammer saying "sold" I was scared when he put down he's hammer. But I think what mother said to me. "Be brave. World is a scary place" And become brave as when I came in this strange place. Then I was going inside to a strange place it was like going inside to mom’s belly again. I saw people saying something. I was scared so I planted. Then some doctor come to me and I fell a sleep. When I wake up I was inside someplace and I was locked. I kicked the door and it didn’t seem to budge. Then I heard footsteps. I kicked the door more herd. Then finally I saw a young girl. She said something to me.
“Hi lola. I am Amy. You are such a beautyâ€
Then she put something in my back and she did something to my nose and mouth. It was strange and next it was more strange. Amy was riding me. And Amy said “Good girl†And give me a treat. I have another friend I can trust.

Never fear, there will be voting in late July or August - once we get 3 more entries for our next blanket contest. | Jane Crandal & JB | 2020-07-06 23:36:57 | |
