I wonder sometimes if I belong
I hear the horses neigh at night
I see them all and get a fright
I want to be one of them there
I am still someone who doesn't stare
I pretend to never, ever care
I feel like I am always there
I see those horses with a heavy heart
I worry that I don't have a start
I cry when I have leave them alone
I am someone who has nowhere to go
I understand that I am nothing at all
I say that I never fall
I dream that I might see those horses again
I try to not touch that silky mane
I hope that I might see them soon
I am someone who wishes upon the moon | Wind drummer & Renaria | 2019-11-04 06:02:26 | | A short story
By Kaya Stone
It was a foggy morning in November. The day began as usual for Me.I mucked stalls and cleaned my indoor chores.I heard a loud thump from outside and ran to see what had caused it. Firefoot lay on the floor of her stall. She was rolling on the ground and nipping at her stomach.I knew what this meant at once:colic.I raced to the barn phone and telephoned the vet.But the phone was out of service.I hurried to Edgar's stall.
"C'mon buddy,"I said "We're going to the vet's!"Edgar was soon tacked up. We galloped out of the barn. The fog had turned to rain and I knew that if Edgar slipped I would have to ask the vet to help two horses.I slowed Edgar down and trotted the rest of the way.But the vet was not in his office.I was told that he had gone to an estate twelve miles away!I turned Edgar around and headed down the path pointed out.It took me half an hour to get there and I was soaked to the skin, but Firefoot was worth it.I found the vet on his way out of the estate barn.
"Firefoot...colic!" was all I could say. The vet ran to his car and followed me to the barn. When we got there,Edgar patiently stood while the vet treated Firefoot.
"You got me just in time."He said as he closed her stall door.
"I didn't do it," I said,"Edgar did."Edgar only snorted,but inside I knew he was smiling. | Kaya Stone & My Pony | 2019-11-10 00:49:24 | | Prince Koda ~ A Tale for You
A horse and his girl
A diary now told
Let’s start the story
Of a horse so bold
My name is Koda. My full name is Prince Koda. I’m an Appaloosa; the kind of horse that has spots all over. If you drive by, you would probably notice me right off. The rest of my friends are paints, and a couple are just solid colors, so I’m pretty noticeable. I live on a farm with rolling hills and trails to gallop on. I’ve lived there most of my life.
The girl who rides me there is Jessica. She’s all mine. She really likes having fun with me. We’ve been on many adventures together, and I can’t wait to go on more.
She’s twelve now, and I’m five. We usually get along great, but I sometimes nip at her. I know I shouldn’t, but I get annoyed sometimes when she tries to hop on me. I have a sour temper sometimes. But, she doesn’t seem to mind too much. I’m glad, cause if she didn’t like me, I wouldn’t get to see her as often. We wouldn’t be able to go on those rides in the woods and go places together. But, she does like me, so we do go places and have fun.
Jessica taught me a trick. She calls it a bow. I kneel down when she asks me to do it. One time, when we were off at a big place, she asked me to bow and many people awed and cheered when I did it. It was exciting.
My half-sister, Kia, is also on the farm with me. She doesn’t look like me, but I guess I should trust Jessica, cause she’s the one who told me it was my sister. I did recognize that we had the same mom, though, so we must be related. Kia is a buckskin. She’s sassy and sometimes kicks at me. I wish she would stop. But, who knows, maybe she’ll grow out of it. I hope so.
Our mom is Princess. She’s palomino, but she’s an Appaloosa like me. It’s been a while since I’ve seen her, cause she’s off with my friend, Summer.
Jessica loves running with me as we race through the fields and trails. I love it too. I want to keep on carrying Jessica around when we go on rides. Sometimes other people ride me, but I really like Jessica better. She understands me more, I think.
My mom says she’s proud of me, and so does Jessica. Jessica tells me she’s proud of me every day, in one way or another. She’ll give me a scratch. She’ll say hello to me. She’ll give me a kiss, or she’ll hug me. Or we’ll go on a ride together. It makes me happy.
Jessica is my girl. And I’m Koda, her horse.
