August 2017 Story & Poem Entries Rules: Winning stories and poems will be published in Pony Pals Magazine. All entries must be original, meaning that the member who enters them must have written the text. To be eligible the story or poem must have a horse or pony in it someplace. Stories should be suitable for all ages, including younger members. All entries published in the Magazine will earn 500 Wiggins Bucks, the best stories and poems will earn 3000 Wiggins bucks and trophy for the writer. Pony writer quills are awarded every day, remember to quit the scavenger hunt and restart it after you get your quill to earn a higher score.

Bella lay awake in her bed.The mist was thick outside her window.Dark shadows cast eerie shapes in the room. "Why can't I just get back to sleep?" she wondered. She stared at the trophies and ribbons on her wall.Suddenly she heard a shrill noise outside her window. "What was that?" she whispered to herself. She got out of bed and looked out of her curtains.She saw a dark shape moving in her back yard.Bella gasped. She ran to her closet and threw open the doors.She grabbed her riding boots and pulled them on. "I wonder what it could be?What would be outside in my backyard?What if it's a wild animal?" Bella opened her bedroom door and as quickly as she could tiptoed past her parents room.She ran downstairs and slipped out the back door. What she saw made her heart skip a beat. There in her backyard was the most beautiful silver stallion standing less than two feet away from her. "Wow!" Bella had never seen such an amazing horse before."I don't believe it!How did you get here?" The stallion gave a loud whinny and bent his head to smell her.Then he lifted his head and stared at the woods. "Oh I get it.You live in the forest don't you boy?Don't worry, I'll get you back there." Bella climbed up onto the stump beside the stallion and heaved herself up onto his back. "Don't worry, I know how to ride.I have my own pony at Chester wood stables and we have the greatest times together and-...never mind, not the point.Okay boy, we can do this." Bella gave him a kick and the stallion raced off toward the fence. "Aahhh!" Bella closed her eyes and waited to fall off. The stallion took a great leap and flew over the fence. They were flying across the field towards the woods. When they reached the edge of the forest the silver stallion slowed to a walk and then halted. Bella jumped off of the stallion and stared into his deep blue eyes. "I will never forget this night.I think I am going to name you Silver."she smiled at him."Goodbye Silver.I hope you have a good life and that you never get lost in the city again." Bella hugged him and watched him gallop off into the night. She knew that she would never see him again but every now and then, in the middle of the night she would hear a whinny and she knew that it was Silver, and that she would never forget the night that she found him.She knew that it was both of their destinies. "Wild Horses" There were many horses on the mount So many, you could not count They traveled and played That is what the day was made The young foal hid behind his steady mother And he looked up to his watchful father The other horses ran around in freedom Humans, who needs 'em? Tornado's Story For You By Love191919 Tornado had a hard life before we met each other. However she pulled through, she lasted long enough to make it home, my home! She lasted long enough for me to meet her and to see her and with all her hardships she is still an amazing Tornado! She is my one in a million pony/horse. She is that one special pony that is so hard to let go of! I learned that if you love them set them free, and give them a chance to be how they were born to be! I gave Tornado up to a little girl and now Tornado is able to do her races, jumps and more that I could no longer do with her! No matter what... if you love them set them free!	Love191919 & Moonlight
