Autumn For A Pony
By Oreese

The Autumn leaves do twirl and toss,
and the crisp air bites my nose,
My owner will bring out the hose
to water the tan blotches of grass.
Bags full of leaves sit by the road,
and still more piles to rake.
I look up in the sky
to see leaves constantly falling.
I look out in the meadow
to see Evangeline run towards me,
her jacket zipped up over her mouth.
She wraps me in a warm hug and feeds me carrots.

I look into the window
and see a flickering candle.
Evangeline's mother comes out
with warm pumpkin muffins.
The smell drifts over my nose,
and as if she could read my mind,
Evangeline brought me an apple.
As I taste the sweetness of the apple,
I enjoy the cozy season, Autumn.

Can the animal be related to a horse? Like a donkey, mule or zebra?

Even a unicorn or winged horse? I was wondering because I have come up with a history on how the unicorn died out (It wouldn't be real but I think it would be cool)

Why the Unicorn Died Out
By Pinkey280

It was a wonderful spring afternoon, back when kings and queens ruled the lands. Nights fought each other and slayed powerful dragons but the most majestic of all known beasts was the unicorn. They lived in small herds up to ten at a time and wandered through thick green forests and lush fields of grass. On this particular afternoon a baby unicorn was born, one that was different from the rest. He had a dark grey coat with little ringlets on it and long black main and tail but what was most stunning was his bright golden horn. His mother told everyone that he must be a very powerful little unicorn and everyone agreed, leaving the golden-horned colt to walk around on it's clumsy legs alone.
"I shall name you Fledro." His mother decided happily, helping her new colt up.
Fledro grew up happily with the other little unicorns, playing games and learning his talents but one day they wanted to play hide and seek. Fledro thought what fun it would be to hide close to the little house in the forest where no unicorn was allowed to go. Then he would certainly win the game; so he trotted into a tall, winding bush and stayed there for a long time. After a while he couldn't hear his friends shouting for him so he walked out, shaking twigs from his black mane, and looked around only to see the man who lived in the small house come out. Fledro had heard rumors about this man. He was supposedly an evil wizard who roamed about, looking for young unicorns but that was just to make the young ones behave. Now Fledro stood in the dark night, to scared to move. The human came slowly other to him and said in a rickety voice, "Have you lost your way young one? May I be of any help?"
"Y-Yes sir. I have lost my herd and need to get home to my mother. She will be worried sir."
"Yes, yes. Now before I tell you where to go you must promise me something in return." The old man gave a nasty smile from behind his dark cloak.
"Anything sir!" He said happily, prancing about the man, unaware of the nasty smile.
"Well you have a quite lovely horn. Would you mind if I borrowed some magic? Just once."
"Well you see, my horn doesn't work yet sir. I must be at the age of five and I am only three."
"Then come back in a few years and repay me. I will only need on thing."
The young unicorn was quite foolish and he gave the old man his will to come back in a few years. The old man did as he promised and lead the unicorn to his heard, carful not to be seen by the others for they know something the young one didn't, he was behind the disappearance of this unicorn's father who had been leader of the herd and the most powerful unicorn on earth.
Time passed and two years went by. The young unicorn colt grew to be a young stallion, powerful and strong. He had never forgotten about his promise to the old man and on his birthday of five he ran to the man's house, very happy that the day had come for him to use his magic.
"Hello sir!" He called, looking in the old, dusty widows, "I have come to complete my promise!"
"Ah yes, hello young one." Said the old man, still in his black cloak, "I will just be needing one thing. Come inside." The young unicorn stallion did and found an old wood house with potions and brewing stands everywhere.
"Why do you need all of this sir?" Asked Fledro, uncertain now of what he was doing.
"For experiments. Now come against this wall so I can collect the spell from your horn."
"But what spell is it?" He asked, coming against the wall, "I don't wan-" He was cut of as he fell into a deep, dark hole.
"That's a boy! Now hold still!" The old man laughed an evil laugh as he cut off the poor unicorn's horn, leaving a swirl of hair instead of a golden horn on the top of his head.
"Now," The man thought out loud, smiling a toothless smile, "Let's summon all the other unicorns with the most powerful horn on earth!"
He cast a spell from the horn and all unicorns where summoned to the old house.
The man used there horns to make the best wands in the world and earned lots of money and that, my friends, is why unicorns don't exist today. They are an old story that has never been proven true but if the one little unicorn hadn't been so foolish, what do you think would have happened? Would they have lived to be with us now?

"My sweet pony oh my sweet sweet pony be good." said Darla as she handed the reins to her friend Bonny "don't worry Darl ill look after him I promise" said Bonny looking into Diablo`s eyes the grey appaloosa whinnied as Darla left her pony and her friend "BYE!" shouted Darla as she jumped into her mothers car. "Mom I cant believe were going on holiday for 2 month and I`m leaving my dear Diablo with Bonny," said Darla while looking out the window "don't worry honey I`m sure Bonny will look after your pony," said Darla`s mother while concentrating on the road.

"Oh Diablo what shall we do first jumping? or dressage? or if you want a nice hack?" ... Diablo whinnied "Exactly what I thought too," smiled Bonny *cluck cluck* and with that diablo set of into a canter towards the large jump "woohoo!" shouted Bonny as they flew through the air but suddenly the pony fell to the ground "EEEEKK!" screamed Bonny

"STOP THE CAR MUM STOP IT!" screamed Darla as she tumbled out the car Darla could hear the shriek oh Bonny and any one can tell when Bonny screams.
Darla ran back down the drive to the house where in the arena laid a grey appaloosa and a girl "Darla you look I cant bear to see what I've done," whimpered Bonny Darla gave Bonny a hand up "are you okay?" asked Darla in shock "yeah I think but but I don't under stand why did he fall?" asked Bonny "I don't know lets look ," the two girls bent over to see that the pony was alive he stood up pranced around and whinnied with a happy look on his face "maybe he has a loose shoe?" asked Bonny "No she had them done yesterday" "who ever has done this is going to pay!" shouted Darla as she picked up her ponies hoof and saw a needle sticking in his frog "I noticed he was limping earlier," said Bonny....
