A Day at the Track

Softly, quickly, galloped the horse,
Easily, steadily around the course.
Gleaming under the sun with sweat,
Trying his best to win the bet.
The people shout, "Go! Go! Go!"
The horses neigh, "No! No! No!"
They round the corner toward the finish sign,
Neck to neck along the fence line.
Waiting for their owners to bring a treat,
Standing by for their sweat sheet.
Buckets filled with sweet oats,
Groomers brushing their glistening coats.
Duck creeps in around the track,
Dawn awakens with fresh tack.
This poem is a ode. It has rhyming cuplets, I wrote this myself. :3

The hope of blue skies and green grass
