The Old Barn
KorusLover1

It was a nice fall day, all the horses at Mill Berry Farm where out in the pasture, eating their lunch.
The sun was at its highest point in the sky when the three friends, Julie, Katelyn and Abbey walked out of Katelyn's house. The three girls had a sleepover, planning on riding the new trails in the woods, half a mile away from Katelyn's house, Mill Berry Farm.
As the girls walked out, you could here their chattering and every now and then, giggles. They walked the path up to the barn where their horses halters would be. All three girls had their own horses, but they were all kept at Mill Berry Farm where they lived happily.
Abbey had a 12 year old, 16.5 hands tall, male, Quarter Horse named Beamer, Julie; a 17 year old, 15.9 hands tall, female, Arabian named Flower, and Abbey with a 20 year old, 16.8 hands tall, female Thoroughbred/Arabian named Cece.
The girls grabbed the halters and ran out to the pasture, talking about the new trails.
"Flower! Come here girl! We are going for a ride!" Abbey called out, the other girls doing the same for their horses. The three horses trotted up together, exited for the ride.
The girls opened the gate, walked in and haltered their horses.
"They'll be even more exited when they find out that it's a new trail!" said Julie, happily.
When the girls where done putting on the halters, they led their horses out, one by one, with their lead ropes. They walked up to the barn to tack up the three anxious horses.

The three girls fish tacking up their horses, mount, and head out of the barn. They break into a trot and head to the back of the property. Once they reach they back, the break into a canter, heading toward the park.

Once at the park the look around to find the sign that will point them in the direction of the new trail.
"William's trail, no. Mountain Tail, no. It's Lost Stallion Path, right?" Abbey said.
"Ya, I believe so," said Julie.
"Over here!" shouted Katelyn, from the other side of the park.
"Lost Stallion Path, sounds kinda creepy :o," said Abbey.
"It's fine! Don't be a wimp Abbey," said Katelyn.
"I'm not!" Abbey shouted back.

They trot along the trail, looking at the amazing new surroundings.
Half way through the tail Julie says; "Look at that old barn, it doesn't look like anybody uses it any more,"
"Not really," commented Katelyn.
"I think we should stop and eat here," said Abbey.
"Good idea, my stomach is growling!" said Julie.

The three girls walked off the trail and over to the old barn. They pulled out their snacks and drinks and started eating, while their horses grazed on the untouched grass.
All of the sudden clouds started to fill the sky, and small drops of rain started to come down.
"Do you think we will have time to get back to the barn before it starts to pour?!" asked Julie as the girls started to pack up.
"I think we should just stay here, in this barn," said Abbey.
"Ya, but what if our parents ger worried?" asked Julie.

Sorry I didn't write much, but I will try to continue later.

(part 1)
On a bright and sunny day in autumn,me and my friends were riding on the moor near the stables. We were all having a great time jumping over fallen logs and racing one another ,when we spotted a half starving horse. It was also alone and dirty.Me and my friends were shocked. It couldn't be wild, because if it was,it would surley be able to survive by itself.I then panicked, but decided to ring my mum to ask what to do.She then told me and my friends to wait there while she came and not to move, because it might see us and be frightened away.Suddenly,my horse nickered and the startled horse galloped away.I phoned my mum to tell her the terrible news and she warned me that it would start to go dark soon, but we could all look for the horse tommorow.
(part 2)
The next day i woke up early and tacked up my horse ready to go and search for that poor alone horse.I then mounted up with my friends, mum and dad and without wasting a minute, set of towards the moor. When we got there eventually we spotted the horse and we decided we needed to build up the trust slowly to put it on the lead rope and lead it back. All day we tried tirelessly to get the horse on the lead rope, but there was no luck.We were about to give up but suddenly the horse walked towards us and slowly we managed to get the lead rope on.We cheered with joy.we led it all away back to the stables and celabrated the succsess. The next day we checked that he belonged to no one nearby. When they all said no,my mum agreed that we could keep the horse at our stables. We then named him lucky because,we were lucky we found him and he is alive!Over the months he became less timid and his health improved. There was many more happy adventures for him to come...
