Dusty By Horses4Life12 "Tomorrow, seven guests will be coming for the two week dude ranch. Can you take...um... Timothy, Basil, Alfalfa, Tango, Mango, Coco, and Luna into the barn?" "Sure, Mom." Kacey replied. She grabbed her horse's bridle, saddle, and saddle pad and plopped them on the corral fence. Climbing over the gate, she scanned the sea of horses for Dusty. Black Magic By Starguy1234 I watched as Black Magic galloped around the race track.I could see the black horse easy passing another horse galloping around the training oval. I jockey pulled him up where I was waiting.I asked him "How was he?".The Tried Jockey answered "Fast. and Tough.".I laughed as I walked the stallion to the barn A to be untacked and put on the hot walker.I soon walked to barn B to see if any 2 year olds needed a gallop.When I asked the Barn Manager said "Yes 4 fillies". FairyTale By ameliabrenes5 FairyTale, a bay filly, raced around the pasture at top speed. I knew she would make a good racehorse some day, she was faster than her dam! A year and a half later, FairyTale's training began. It wasn't easy, she was a very spirited filly with lots of energy, but soon she was as gentle as a old saddle horse under the saddle. But on the track, she was different...She galloped faster than any horse I had ever encountered. She passed 3 other horses who were practicing in the track, and didn't tire until a few laps later. The next morning was the biggest race she had ever encountered yet...The Triple Crown. It was morning, and everyone was getting the horses ready. The horses and jockey's were now in the starting gates, I watched nervously, tingling with excitement. The piston sounded, and they were off. I watched as a big black horse took the lead, FairyTale was in fourth. 'What is she doing?' I wondered. But I trusted that FairyTale and her jockey knew what to do. As the last lap came nearer, the 3 horses in front began to tire, and FairyTale passed two of them, now in second place. The big black was fast, but not as fast as FairyTale. The two horses were neck and neck, then with a last push of effort, FairyTale passed the black horse, and crossed the finish line by a whole horse's length! The crowd went wild and cheered as FairyTale went into the winners circle, and received a gold trophy, money, and roses. I grinned. I knew from the start that FairyTale was special.
