Title: The Black Stallion
By: Horsesforever12
Though the night may be black,
There is something blacker.
His eyes burn with spirit and fire;
Freedom is his dam and courage is his sire.
The rocky terrain thunder beneath him,
The radiant mountain face above him.
His muscles ripple with beauty and power;
And even a lion will cower.
If you think you can tame him, you are wrong...
Because freedom is his song.
Though the night is black,
There is something blacker..........

Biggest Mistake of my life (Not a true story)
By CaroleApollo123
Oh that mistake, I cant beleive it,
I gave her up, because I didn't believe it.
You fell to the ground during a dressage test,
I made you get up and finish that test
Later that day, before the show jumping,
You fell to the ground, only this time you never got up.
I cryed and cryed if only I had paid attention, to the symptons you showed earlier.
Now I regret, and regret and regret, the biggest mistake of my life.
Everyone - note take care of your horses and pay attention to symptons your horse may show.....

That neigh of yours rings like a bell in my ears
Your sturdy build, making you so powerful.
You are for all, the horse of love
Making everyone smile
Oh, that sturdy build of yours making you so powerful.
The sound of your neigh, ringing in my ears.
Oh you are the horse of love!

A Golden Night
by columbinestables
It came upon a midnight's howl,
The dreadful warning of a crimson war.
The wolves out on their nightly prowl
Were disturbed by the kingdom's roar.
Out flew the trusted knights,
Bareback upon the best of steeds,
Searching for the enemy's lights,
Frantically riding at top speeds.
At the front of the unruly pack,
A Friesian pounded the mossy earth,
Not holding nor looking back,
With a need to prove his worth.
They galloped through the dim forest,
And the peaceful air was disturbed.
Until the knights reached the hill's crest
Where they paused with a moment of dread.
For at the bottom of the hill,
A larger group stood waiting.
For a moment all was still,
Then that Friesian was once again charging.
Alas, on went the captain and him,
Their actions are crazy to some,
because their odds seemed very slim.
But maybe they could save the kingdom.
While they approached the enemy,
The pair felt odd and out of place,
But they stood strong and didn't flee,
And captain shouted, "Get out of our home base!"
"We admire your courage, yes we do.
Your horse is gorgeous too, you know.
Understand that we're in danger too,
And that we have nowhere to go."
"Well we'll bring you back to the king,
And he can make the final decision,
But to the kingdom we will be racing.
That is our one provision."
The trespassers thanked the captain,
And gave the horse a golden breastplate,
But their true reward was within,
And admiration for their valiant trait.
The two troops lined up straight.
Horses and riders alike were anxious,
And when the horses burst into their fastest gait,
Lightning cracked across the night's canvas.
In the midnight air,
With nothing to be seen,
Only sounds to scare,
A galloping herd was quite a scene.
A certain black Friesian
Won the midnight ride.
Shiny gold marked this swift force
With a large heart and a long stride.
((Didn't know whether to submit this as a short story or a poem... hope I did the right category!)

The Silver Brumby
annalulupam123
A ghost horse, a horse not most have ever seen , a cream and silver brumby, so wild and free, the breed of speed.
This brumby, so wild and free, is a stallion, king of all the mares and fillies.
Without a care in the world he carries his silver mane and tail with pride and courage, hide, head hooves, back, all as beautiful as can be.
He fleets like the wind and dosent make a sound, his hooves silently pounding.
This horse as spirited as can be, is a cream and silver brumby.

TITLE:Frosted Moon
BY:Celosia
On a dark, cold, endless night,
Thick snow and little light.
A tiny foal with big dark eyes,
shinning brighter than a thousand skies.
His dark grey coat damp with melting snow,
8 years later he's a wild show!
Leaping over jumps and galloping over brush,
his graceful movement has no rush.
He is now a full grown stallion with a dark flame,
his wild nature is not his to blame.
He is free,
there is now shame.

My special horse
By sharron10
You're my pride and joy
My only true love
I know you're happy up above
You're in my mind
and in my heart
I know you're free
In your brand new start
Your health is back
Your heart is new
I know up there
You love me too
You miss me
and I miss you
I know one day
I'll see you soon
I love you now
I always will
I miss you now
I miss you still
You're in my heart
You're in my mind
You're in every step
I leave behind
God took you from me
With no remorse
But you know Ace
You're still my horse.....

the wild horese roam
by Pink Snapdragon
The wild horses roam,
with beautiful manes,
all of them the same,
and yet completely diffrent;
All are different colors,
and have their own personalitys,
just like you and me;
