The Phantom Stallion

Chapter 1
The Rescue
“Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhâ€, my little sister said as she came into my room on the morning of Halloween. “â€Go away, Saidiâ€Â” I say, hoping to get her to. “Nope!†“â€Ugh, living with a sister†I mutter under my breath. “Come on Sis! You promised you would take me stallion hunting todayâ€. “Ok, ok, just let me get up in peace ok?†“Okay!†she says and happily skips out of the room. I pull on a battered purple t-shirt with a white stallion on the front; also with the worn words “I saw the phantom stallionâ€. I also pull on tattered blue jeans, knee socks, and my boots. Then I take the 5 minutes to take the braid out of my hair, and put a new one in, after quickly running a brush through my knee length hair.
I then grab my blue riding helmet, go into Saidi’s room and grab hers, run downstairs, say good morning to my mum, and run outside, only slowing down when I get to the barn.
I walk in, grab Ghost’s lime green halter, and Bumbles red one, go into the isle, halter them both, and then cross tie Ghost. I then grab a grooming bucket and do a good allover of him.
I then unhook one of the crssties, leaving the other, lead Bumble to the other set and groom him. I put Bumble back in his stall, because he had been injured in a horse show last month, and was resting, recuperating, and recovering (the 3 RÂ’s my dad called them).
I grab Ghost’s heavy western saddle, saddle pad, and his bridle. I tack him up then, leaving him in his stall, then go into my sister’s horse, Midnight’s, stall. Saidi is struggling to lift the heavy western saddle onto Midnight.
“Here let me help†I say. “Thanks sisâ€, she says as I swing the saddle on with practiced ease. I help Saidi mount up, and then swing up on Ghost.
We go out on a trail, not getting very far before we hear a distressed whinny. Saidi and I follow the trail until we find a beautiful black stallion, with a perfect blaze, lying on the ground, trapped in a poachers trap.
“He’s hurt!â€Â” Saidi cries.
“ Yes, yes he is. The phantom stallion of Chestnut Ridge caught in one of our traps. “Pretty good, huh Tom?â€Â” a deep man’s voice says behind us. “Yes Bob, pretty good.â€Â”
“Bob and Tom, how did I not guess!?†I say, spinning around to see two tall blond men standing behind us
“You know that you aren’t allowed to poach on this land, and how dare you try to catch one of the wild horses!â€Â”
I almost shout at the men who had killed this horse’s father, and mother. “Yes, but the state has passed a new law, saying we can kill as many of these animal as we want. We have already killed the rest of the heard, and now we just need to sell this baby for a couple thousands, once he’s all healed up.â€Â”
“YOU GET OFF OF THIS LAND RIGHT NOW, OR I’LL MAKE YOUâ€Â” I shout, losing my temper. They run off, and when I think they have gone for good, I pull out the extra halter I keep in my saddle bag, and gently slip it over the stallion’s head. Then I get a lead rope, and attach that to his halter.
After that, Saidi helps me pry the trap off his leg, put a stick in its jaws and put it in my saddlebag. I let her ride Ghost home, and I pony tie Midnight to him. I lead The Stallion home, with Saidi slowly walking beside me. When we get home we put him out in a paddock and call our dad, a large animal vet. “I think he’ll be…â€Â…

It all started out when I was walking on the beach.The waves felling so nice as they hit my hooves.The light sunset hiting me in the corner of my eye.Now today was perfect!I could see something in the sky but I did not know what it was?I didn't really care at that moment.I could hear my rider saying "RUN RUN RUN" but I wasn't paying attention we we're to late.When I woke up I was lying in the sand with the waves crashing on me.I couldn't see my rider!Now I knew why my rider was screming "RUN RUN RUN".IT WAS Imagine Dragon!She was the queen of the Night Sky. She could do anything and everything."What do you want from me I,"said and where's Willow my rider?"Willow died in the sea," said Imagine Dragon."Nooooooo I," cried!Why does she want Willow and I I'm just a horse and Willow's a ordinary person I thought in my mind."Well I guees its just you and me then," said Imagine Dragon.One last hit and I was gone no one ever saw me again.

"Race you to the curve of the trail" I yell to my best friends Jackie and Emma. Jackie kicks Reese her 13 year old flee bitten gray gelding. Emma tries to catch up to me and Jackie but her stubborn chestnut pony named Chester wouldn't move a step "Come on Chester!" she says while kicking him. I finally reach the curve with Jackie but Emma was still kicking Chester trying to get him to go. "You stay here" I say to Jackie and then gallop to Emma to see what was wrong. My Bay gelding named Dunkin Donut started to go into a swift canter as we got closer to Emma. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Chester doesn't want to go" she says sadly. "I know! Let's go to the tack shop tonight and get spurs or something then go to dinner after.",I say. "Sure!" Emma says. " Can I come to?" Jackie says as she trots up. "Yeah!" Emma and I say together. The next day.... "I hope the spurs will get him moving" Emma says. "Lets get tacked up and go for a ride!" I say. "Yeah!" Jackie and Emma say together."He still won't move!" Emma exclaims. "Let's get him checked out by a vet" Jackie says worryingly.
Meanwhile.. What did the vet say? Don't know let's go see. "So girls, it looks like Chester's old owner thought SHE was a boy and she doesn't want to move because she's pregnant!" "Really" and we all start cracking up. THE END

(There Lived a Family a wealthy family, whose last name was the Land. This Family had eight kids but altogether there were ten people in the family. Oh my, I am getting ahead of myself. Well if I am going to tell this story I better do it right. Let me start it at the beginning :)
Chapter One
Their Life
Once upon a time there was a girl named Ann who was giving birth that cold night in January.
Maximus (the husband of Ann) was waiting outside the door of the Palace. (Oh and Ann is a Queen and Maximus is the King of Bayland.)
That night a beautiful healthy baby was born, and her name was Jasmine. Than three years later a purple baby boy was born and so on the family grow until they had eight kids. The second oldest was a boy and his name is Josh, then came Cristina, Mathew, Abigail, Jason, Mary, Alex and the last kid's names was Micah he is now eleven years old, and his older sister named Sabrina is twelve years old. And Sabrina and Micah are best of friend they did everything together, like... ride their horses, tell stories, and play dress ups, and play witches and the prince. He would always be the prince and she the witch.
That early day of May when Sabrina and Micah went for a ride before the ball to celebrate their kingdoms friendship with the Vales kingdom. Sabrina had on a brown and gray dress that her mother made for her to ride a horse with. It was brown at the bottom to the west where her curling brown hair was, it also had a gray top and a black belt. Her horse named Loven she was a bay horse. She and her little brother Micah went into the sables to tack up their horses. Anastasia and Micah walked their horses out of the stables and onto a road. They road their horses for an hour or two.
Chapter 2 the Witch
“Sabrina? My horse is getting tired. Can we stop? “Asked Micah.
“Well I guess so, but only for a few,†said Sabrina, as they dismounted the horses and left them there to graze. Sabrina walked over to anther path. It was wider than the path their where on, so they decided to take it. Well that path lead on to another and another and another one it kept going on and on.
Then they saw something or someone on the side of the road, so they stopped. It was an old lady.
Sabrina again dismounted a ran over to the lady. The lady was a...
“A WITCH!!!†she screamed as she ran back to her horses when she tripped the witch had grabbed her foot, but Princess Sabrina got up and jumped on her horse.
“ Please, I won't hurt you just help me I’m hurt,†the witch said as she got onto her knees and started begging.
“Sis she is not going to hurt us she needs our help,†Micah said.
“Oh the young prince is right my princess, I'm not going to hurt you,†she said in an evil and tying to be nice voice.
The princess didn't know what to do.
“No! We aren't going to help you!†Sabrina said now in a strong voice.
“Sis, your mean and I I hate you! “Micah yelled back as he jumped of his horse to help the witch.
“NO!!!†Sabrina yelled after him.
OH, OH, YES!! The witch said as some other witches came out of the forest that was behind the witch and Micah. Sabrina screamed as did Micah. Micah's horse ran off and she never saw it again.
Sabrina's horse also did. As Sabrina road off she looked back at Micah being pushed away. The witch yelled a curse unto the family that would only be broken if she killed the her the witch that had her brother. Sabrina ran into places.
Chapter 3 Goodbyes
“Mom, dad stop the party! Sabrina said as a maid poled her in her room and said...
“Stop crying. Now let’s get you dressed.â€
“But-†Sabrina said.
“No buts,†the maid said back.
They went into her bedroom that was small compared to her older sisters. It was like like well let me show you...
They got a new dress for her and she slipped it on. She didn't forget about her brother she just knew they would not let her see her mom or dad if she was crying.
So she had on a Red gown
When she was walking down the stairs she heard people screaming.
She ran down all the stairs and out in the ball room when she saw witches everywhere. Someone grabbed her and put her in a closet. It was Josh and his girlfriend Savannah
They stayed there until the screaming stopped. When it did they stepped out and looked around.
Everybody was gone no one was there not even her mom or dad.
But only one witch was there. The watch was sneaking up to kill Savannah when Josh jumped in and got killed. The witch ran away. That night Sabrina was the air to the throne and she was the new queen of both Bayland and Vale.
Chapter 4
Years of Love
Many boys, kingdoms, and even men have tried to win the heart of Sabrina, but no one did.
Because she knew why they wanted her. The boys wonted her for her looks, the kingdoms they wanted her power and well her kingdom, men they wanted her money and all of the above.
It has been five years sense the witches and now she is seventeen years old.
“Good morning princess, how are you today?†Her maid asked.
“Okay, “she answered back.
“I mean are you ready to get ready for you seventieth birthday?†the maid asked again.
“Oh, dear is that today? She asked.
“Why yes, “said the maid.
“Oh,†Sabrina said.
She got out of bed and went into her closet to find something. She found a very pretty dress so she put it on. She knew that the maid was going to tell her that she had another appointment with a guy.
So she wanted to look her best. She wore a light pink strapless long dress with the sleeves that were attached to the strapless dress and it went below the shoulders. She wore it in pride. She left her room and went in her office. In front of her was a young boy. But this time she could feel that something was different than the others.
“Wow, look at his hair how black it is it shines, and his eyebrows are strait but curved in the right way.
Oh look there is one freckle only right next to his nose and right above his mouth,†she said in her mind. She looks in his eyes and saw that they were green and brown mixed together. She looked away and remembered why he was here.
“Okay, now are you ready?†she asked.
“Yesâ€, he answered.
“What is your name?†she asked.
“My name? Oh my name. Well my name is…†He tried to tell but the princess interrupted.
“Never mind, I see that your name is, Hunter†she said as she read the background check out loud.
“Yes it is,†he answered back.
They talked and talked to about from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Then they were getting a little loving dove. So they decided they wanted to go riding so they did. He had his horse so he road on that and she took her horse Loven.
“So Loven is her name?†he asked.
“Yes what is your horse’s name? She asked.
“Starlight,†he answered.
“That is a pretty name,†she said as she smiled.
He smiled back. They rode the horse down a path when they saw something or someone…
She remembered when her little brother and her was riding and saw the witch.
“The witch IT’S THE WITCH!!†she screamed.
“What is wrong?†He asked.
“That is the witch the one how killed my family! She said. We have to turn back NOW!!â€
“But,†he said then he got it none one know what happened that night at the ball she would not tell.
So he now knows what happened because she said “That is the witch, the one how killed my family!â€
They rode off fast into the woods and diapered. They got…
“Lost, how can we get lost?†she asked.
“I have no idea oh yes I do…YOU, you got us here lost!†He yelled.
“Me? How dare you! she yelled back. How do you think I got us into this?â€
“Well you did a good job of getting us away from the road!†he said sarcastically.
“WHY!†she started to cry. She dismounted her horse and started to run the opposite of him.
“Sabrina wait I didn’t mean…†he sighed as he also dismounted.
Sabrina ran throw the wood but would not stop for Hunter.
“Sabrina stop let me talk,†he yelled to her.
“OH MY!†She whispered as she stopped.
“Okay thank you for stopping. Now… I am sorry, I didn’t mean, He stopped. Why did you stop?†he asked as he looked over her shoulders. It was a kingdom!
“What is this? He asked.
Chapter 5
My Family?
“It’s, it’s… MY FAMILY! She yelled. Mom dad!!†she yelled as she ran down the hill.
So if you’re wondering if she ever brock that spell then yes she also got mired to… Hunter, and they lived with her family happily ever after :)

Note that pixierider entered in both ten and under and age 11 this month, she got runner up for both categories but was only awarded runner up in 10 and under, so the next highest score story, Imagine Dragon by Berryblue, got runner up in this category.
