I was a chilly morning with the cool breeze as I was walking up the path from the school bus to the barn where Ty and mom stood. They were getting copper ready for a work out. I love watching mom work! It felt like a dream, that someday I would be able to train horses like mom.
I waited for them to head down to the round pen before I took another step forward. When they got near the pen Ty reached up to pet Copper on his forehead when suddenly, Copper turned his head away with anger and reared, before Ty could do anything he reared again and again. Mom grabbed Coppers lead away from Ty and spoke to Copper in a soothing and calming way. Then copper settled down. He was still full of energy, but was calm enough for mom to lead him into the pen. Mom unhooked the lead and sent him off cantering, while mom was standing in the center of the ring. She was looking at the ground while she worked, she was going to see if he was going to join up with her. He started licking his lips and norting showing he trusts her and is calming down. Mom backs up and Copper is drawn to her by trust and comes to the center of the ring. Then mom walkes around with Copper following and grabs his lead and calls it a day. Mom leads him out of the pen and into the barn and puts him in his stall.
While mom was doing that I was talking to Ty, and dreaming about being so good with horses. We descided to follow mom.

Lyra
By 1000 wild mustangs
Once upon a time, long ago, when the fairies and elves still visited people, a young girl, named Lyra stepped out into her garden. Lyra was a young girl, orphaned at the age of seven, and lived all alone scrounging for her very living. Lyra was had a kind heart, and had a way with every living thing. She picked up stray dogs and chickens and other unfortunate little creatures nearly every day, and nursed them back to health and made friends with them. She had a tiny plot of ground, which for most folks wouldn't have yielded enough for a single meal, but for Lyra, well that tiny patch of bare dirt gave Lyra nearly enough for her to live upon and a bit besides. So all would have gone well, but for her loving heart. Indeed, she had a cow, three chickens, two dogs, eighteen cats, a tiny foal and a little sparrow, and she just couldn't, no not even with her lovely ability with plants, she couldn't provide enough for all her darling creatures.
Now one day, as Lyra picked some of her first fruits of her garden, a tiny old lady walked by.
"Hello old mother!" Lyra called out.
"Good day my child." The little woman stopped and smiled at Lyra.
"Oh My." thought Lyra, "She looks so hungry. I was counting on these foods for my dinner, but I can go hungry just this once. This little woman looks like she hasn't had a meal in very long time."
Lyra spoke aloud. "Old mother, should you wish to have some of the food in my garden? I have plenty enough." Lyra lied.
The little old lady nodded, and Lyra willingly gave her all she could find in her garden. Lyra turned, to pick one more vegetable for the hungry old woman, and suddenly, the little old woman vanished and in her place a beautiful fairy stood.
She laughed a tinkling little laugh, and said "You are a good, kind child, and your kindness merits a reward. O will give you good fortune the rest of your life, and I am also giving you a gift. I shan't tell you what the gift is, but after you have grown up, you shall not be able to use it any more, as you could use it for bad if your heart was not young and pure anymore. But this gift shall be passed on and on to all your children and at least ONE of you should be able to use this marvelous gift. Good bye!" She laughed again and was gone in a puff.
Now in another part of this kingdom, which by the way was called Erirland, a young prince lived.

Dreams of Ghost, part 2
By:
pizza freak
Ghost walked through the woods until he heard a whinny. He galloped to the sound and saw humans herding a wild mare. When they're gaze fell upon him, they gasped. "He's the ghost horse-worth so much more than the average horse. Get 'em!" There were loud shouts of approval and the chase began. The first human, Isis, gave up quickly because she got lost in the woods. The second human, Lila, gave up after tripping five times. But the third human, Naomi, kept chasing after Ghost. It seemed to him there was no way to get rid of her. "Give up, ghost horse! There is no escape." Naomi laughed. But Ghost saw a way out and soon lost track of Naomi. When she appeared out of the woods, he led her to a river, jumped over, and waited. If Naomi attempted to jump, she would fall in. And that's just what she did. Once Naomi climbed out of the river and trudged home, Ghost trotted back to find the mare. In years to come, they became friends and had a herd of their own. And everyone lived happily ever after.

Mustang Part 1
Apple06
Gallping like the wind the 5 year old mustang mare galloped across the Wyoming plaines. She raced in a lightning manner, focusing on getting away from the dreadful men that wanted to capture her. She galloped and galloped the men faded into specks in the distance. She had made it safely. She trotted wearily to her herd. The stallion whinnied to her as if saying," We are glad you have made it back safely." She whinnied back happily, glad to see the herd. She walked over to him, he welcomed back with a gleam in his eyes.
The gorgeous mare's stomach was gradually getting larger. She was in foal. The foal was bound to be amazing. His mother has speed. And the stallion had stamina.
Part 2
It was time.
The birth went great with no complications. The mustang mare admired her colt. He was a paint, and was simply stunning. He slowly scrambled to his feet. She could tell that he was going to be strong and free like herself. The mare nuzzled her colt.
4 weeks went by and the colt was doing good. He was frisky though. He loved to throw his tail up and gallop with his mother. The colt was everything to his mother. He was special, not like any of her other foals. He loved galloping and always did so in a carefree manner. His mother knew that his power, speed, and stamina would help him in his life.
